A different type of starling is set to grace Dolores with a flurry of songs.

Workshop experiments with art
In conjunction with his residency at the Aspen Guard Station, Durango painter Chandler Wigton will hold a free experimental drawing workshop for the public from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the Cortez Cultural Center, 25 N. Market.

Beer Fest will benefit land conservancy

Ansel Adams trust sues over glass negatives
SAN JOSE, Calif. - A group representing Ansel Adams sued a California man for selling prints and posters under the name of the famed nature photographer, the latest salvo in a dispute over glass negatives bought at a garage sale and purported to be Adams' lost work.

Juried art quilt show comes to Mesa Verde
The Grand Junction-based Art Quilt Association (AQuA) is now exhibiting "Canyon Voices II" in the Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum Gallery of Mesa Verde National Park. This juried art quilt exhibit is presented in partnership with the nonprofit Mesa Verde Museum Association and the National Park Service.
