September is one of my favorite months.
It seems that summer is almost over. (I know, its hard to believe that it just whizzed by!) Hopefully, the weather will cool off and the temperatures will be more like fall.
Soon we will be seeing the leaves changing color on the trees and then theyll be falling to the ground.
School has been in session for a few weeks now and a routine of sorts has begun in most households.
Athletics have also begun and families are getting kids to their respective practices and games.
Football is back, from high school on up to professional teams! Bundle up and keep yourselves warm during a game.
But I am getting ahead of myself! Its still only the first week of September, and its still warm. I can, however, feel a chill in the air from time to time, and
. winter is on its way.
Looking at the calendar, I see National Grandparents Day is Sept. 9, a time to recognize and celebrate our grandparents.
Sept. 11 is Remembrance Day, remembering the events of Sept. 11, 2001.
Sept. 19 is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, one of those just for fun days!
Sept. 22 is the first day of fall.
September is FULL of remembrance days - just check them out!
The Mancos Valley-Mesa Verde Country Balloon and Art Festival is this month, Sept. 28 through 31. Youll be hearing more about it as the month goes on. There is one more Grand Summer Nights on Sept. 28, when artists will be displaying their art along Grand Ave.
