The Cortez City Council will hear a presentation by staff regarding Cortez Sanitation District billing when it meets for its workshop meeting 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 210 East Main Street.
At 6:30 p.m., the council will go into executive session for legal advice regarding city water rights.
At the regular meeting, scheduled for 7:30 p.m., the council will vote on renewal of alcohol licenses for Hunan Restaurant and Spruce Tree Coffeehouse.
Listed under public hearings, the council will also vote on a new hotel and restaurant liquor license for El Burro Pancho.
The council will also vote on an ordinance renewing a 2.5 year franchise for the maintenance and operation of a cable system in Cortez.
Listed under unfinished business, the council will discuss amending the land use code to allow a limited number of recreational vehicles and travel trailers in manufactured home parks within city limits.
Under new business, a memorandum of understanding with the Cortez Cultural Center may be approved by the council, as well as a resolution supporting the designation of a creative district in Cortez to promote creative industries to drive the citys economy and enhance the quality of life.
A contract for voice PRI is also up for vote, to be awarded to Farmers Telecommunications at the amount of $400 per month for 36 months.
Lastly, the council will consider setting a public hearing for the request to change locations for West Slope Liquors to move to 2212-1 East Main Street.
