Educators, tribal leaders give blessings at M-CHS ceremony

A large crowd turned out for the Montezuma-Cortez High School ribbon-cutting. With a late afternoon sun beating down, hundreds gathered in the shade and inside classrooms overlooking the ceremony.
Superintendent Alex Carter and high school Principal Jason Wayman applaud voters who approved a 20-year bond measure, by a 5-3 margin, to help fund the new building.
