CAESER is a 6-year-old neutered male yellow lab. He is a good dog: sweet-natured, great with people, kids, cats, and other dogs. He left the shelter as a puppy 6 years ago as a parvo survivor. He needs ACL surgery on his knee, and will need to be adopted by someone who can handle that. He needs a home with a secure, fenced yard. He is available for adoption at the Cortez Animal Shelter, located at 2791 E. Main St. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and open every other Friday. The shelter will be closed this Friday for intensive cleaning. The shelter will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, for the spring adopt-a-thon, which will have dogs and cats available. This week, the shelter needs adult dry cat food, nonscoopable cat litter, bleach, Pine Sol, adult dry dog food (Purina or Pedigree) and dog biscuits.
