Iron Horse’s humble roots become driver for tourism

For 43 years, the bicycle race has signaled start of summer season

All races start at Buckley Park and end at Durango Mountain Resort. The Mountain Horse Citizen Tour is canceled.
Road Race presented by Coca Cola, 7:30 a.m.
Citizen Tour presented by McDonalds, 7:35 a.m.
Quarter Horse to Purgatory, 7:40 a.m.
Mountain Bike Self-Guided Rides, several routes are available, noon-4 p.m., Buckley Park, Main Avenue, www.boure.com/durangomtbrides.htm.
