In the past, most of our allies have followed America's lead, because in the past America was the leader of the free world. Maybe that was because after we dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima in 1945, no one wanted to cross America for fear of what we might do. In 1945 President Truman did what he had to do to keep this country free and that one act ended World War II.
In the 1980s when Ronald Reagan was President, he persuaded Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin wall, ending the Cold War. Russia must have still been a little afraid of America at that time because the wall came down. There is no doubt in my mind that President Reagan was a powerful leader. Just look at what he accomplished in his two terms.
Some of our presidents in the past have done what they've had to do to keep America strong, militarily powerful and most of all, FREE! That being said, I don't believe any country fears America anymore. After President Obama said he draws a red line if Syria uses chemical weapons- guess what? Syria used chemical weapons on their own people and Obama did nothing. Russia stepped in and took control of the situation in what I believe was a test to see what Obama would do. He did nothing except become a YES man.
North Korea consistently tests missiles off their shores to see how far they can push Obama and he does nothing. Iran blatantly continues to develop their nuclear weapons program and no one at the United Nations table, including Iran and the U.S., believes any sanction agreement will work to stop them. And Russia looks like they will possibly take over the region of Crimea and possibly all of Ukraine because no one will stop them either. We have this crisis in Russia and Obama and Biden go on vacation? Last time I checked they work for us. They can't go on vacation just because they're afraid of President Putin. It appears Russia, Syria, North Korea and Iran are no longer afraid of America and I'm sure other countries will follow. Why is that?
Could it be because Obama went on his American apology tour in 2009? Could it be because Obama has not shown any leadership for this country, ever? Could it be because he says one thing and does another and the rest of the world knows that as well? Why would he go on vacation during a crisis in Russia? Why doesn't he get straight to work trying to help solve this dilemma?
The answer to those questions: Obama simply doesn't care! He doesn't care about America, you, your family, your health care, your children's future, the national debt, unemployment, countries that hate us, Israel, war. Obama doesn't care about the things we care about. If he did, his poll numbers would be way up and the American people would be prospering, not hurting at the hands of their own government! Obama is nothing more than a community organizer, NOT a world leader!
His past proves it.
