A two-car accident on U.S. 160, east of Cortez, caused injuries. At least one man was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital. The accident occured in front of the entrance to Vista Verde Village. A resident said turning left onto the highway there can be dangerous because of a blindspot created when another vehicle is making a right hand turn into the village.
