Archaeologist recounts 4,000 years of ancient peoples during lecture at FLC
Mark Varien, senior vice president at Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, described how different pottery styles and decoration, as seen in this assemblage of ancestral Puebloan corrugated cooking pots and painted white ware from the Mesa Verde region, give archaeologists a lot of information about some of the earliest residents of the Mesa Verde region.
