Southern Ute woman develops app to preserve language
Lynda Grove d’Wolf said when she returned to the Southern Ute community 25 years ago after moving away, she was surprised at how few people spoke the language fluently. D’Wolf recently helped develop an app to teach others how to speak the Ute language.
Lynda Grove d’Wolf estimates there are only 35 fluent Ute speakers out of 1,498 Southern Ute members.
