The Cortez Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the re-opening of the newly renamed Susie’s Gifts on Main, 15 W. Main St. Susie’s Hallmark, a long-standing Main Street store, recently dropped Hallmark Gold Crown licensing and plans to carry a variety of products. Owner Susie Keck said she decided to make the change in December 2013 and left the network of Gold Crown stores in March because the licensing agreement wasn’t very “cost-effective.”
