A marshmallowy fluff of affection is calmly waiting to be scooped up into a warm, loving home. Independent, playful and friendly, this adult neutered male would make a great house mate. This gray and white tabby would do well with another feline friend or as a lone lap cat. He loves attention and could be a wonderful companion to relax with at the end of a long day. Also available is a long-haired charcoal gray neutered male who needs a window of sunshine to rest in and lovable family to cuddle up to. Due to an influx of adult cats, the shelter is offering 50 percent off on cat adoptions through Friday, February 22. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays; they will be open this Friday. The fee for adoption includes spaying or neutering, vaccination, microchip and health exam. The shelter could use donations of cleaning supplies such as paper towels, lysol and unscented bleach. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910. To view more animals, visit www.petango.com (enter 81321 zip code for each) or www.cityofcortez.com/government/animal_shelter.
