The Southwest Colorado Community College Dean, Norm Jones, can't believe what he just witnessed. Walt Whiteskunk drilled a half-court shot Tuesday night at halftime of the Montezuma-Cortez High School basketball game. Whiteskunk won a $1,000 scholarship to the college. It's the second year in a row that someone made the shot to win a scholarship. Both M-CHS teams lost to Durango, with the boys team dropping an overtime heartbreaker. See Page 6A for story.
