The city of Cortez and Colorado Department of Transportation remove the barriers Wednesday around the area where there was a major water leak at Main and Harrison streets. With the barriers coming down, eastbound Main Street is back to two open lanes and Harrison Street is open again. The barriers were installed after a valve on a water pipe broke on Jan. 24. Workers had to dig up and repair the break. CDOT required the concrete traffic barriers to be installed before work could begin.
