Mushing to return to Mancos?

Financial, community support would be crucial to success
Steve McKone, a student at Fort Lewis College and a river guide in the summer, is embarking on his first season as a musher with Durango Dog Ranch. McKone said the excitement of trying something completely different was what first attracted him to sled dog racing.
“To be able to go out in the woods with a team of dogs ... it’s amazing,” said musher Steve McKone of Durango Dog Ranch.
