Esta Faye Harrington, age 75, of rural Baxter Springs, Kan., passed away at 11:42 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Quaker Hill Manor near Lowell, Kan.

Esta was born Nov. 3, 1936 in Cortez. She had lived in the Baxter Springs area the last nine years, moving there from the Seneca, Mo. area. She was a homemaker. Esta was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Baxter Springs.

Esta married Charles F. Harrington Jr. on Nov. 6, 1955, in Cortez. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2012.

Survivors include two sons, Charles F. “Jerry” Harrington III of Baxter Springs and Russell “Rusty” Harrington and wife La Donna of Wyandotte, Okla.; five brothers, Lendell Chasten of Montrose, Colo., Bob Chasten, Paul Chasten and Doug Chasten, all of Joplin, Mo., and Cecil Chasten of Webb City, Mo.; three sisters, Vesta Butler of Cortez, Glenda Griffith of Joplin, and Sharon Southwick of St. Louis, Mo.
