Roy Elton Archer, 86, formerly of Groundhog, passed away July 26, 2012. He was born Feb. 1, 1926 in Naturita, Colo. He married Phyllis Jean Kesselring on Oct. 21, 1946. Roy served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was stationed in the Pacific.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, and by his son, Delbert.

Roy is survived by two sons, Dennis (Joan) and Dwaine (Barbara); one daughter, Casandra (Sandy); six grandchildren; and by nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held in Mancos on Friday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m., at the residence of Ike and Betty Gilpin, 31467 County Road L. For more information, call 882-2365.
