TUESDAY, APRIL 10

cortez colorado Angelo Dean House, 19, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of 3rd degree assault — knowingly/recklessly causing injury. He was sentenced to 18 months of supervised state probation immediately upon release from jail. He was ordered to pay $1,157.50 in fines and costs. Defendant must obtain an alcohol evaluation and treatment. He was ordered to obtain his GED, and to actively seek employment. He must also obtain an anger management evaluation and follow all recommendations. He must not possess or consume alcohol.

cortez colorado Angelo Dean House, 19, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of protection order violation. He was sentenced to 18 months supervised state probation, and was ordered to pay $1,154.50 in fines and costs. Terms and conditions are concurrent with case number 12M13.

cortez colorado David Paul Lyons, 21, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of theft — $500-$1,000. Defendant received a deferred sentence of 12 months unsupervised probation, and was ordered to pay $237.50 in fines and costs. He must violate no laws — traffic or criminal, and must keep his address current with the court.

THURSDAY, APRIL 12

cortez colorado Shawn R. Abeln, 40, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of eluding a police officer. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail, to report on April 26. Weekends are authorized by the court. Defendant is to serve Thursdays through Mondays until sentence is complete if authorized by the jail. He was also ordered to pay $132 in fines and costs.

FRIDAY, APRIL 13

cortez colorado Louis A. Fraijo, 21, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct — offensive gesture. He was ordered to pay $29 in fines and costs. Weapon to be forfeited.

TUESDAY, APRIL 17

cortez colorado Buster Duane Lukas, 40, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of 3rd degree assault — knowingly/recklessly causing injury. He received a deferred sentence of 12 months unsupervised probation and was ordered to pay $184.50 in fines and costs. He must violate no laws — traffic or criminal, and must keep his address current with the court. Defendant must also complete an anger management evaluation and treatment. Restitution is open for 30 days. Prosecution will file correct motion for restitution and if defense objects, a hearing will be set.

cortez colorado Shyian Yazzie, 27, of Mancos, pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct — fighting in public. She received credit for time served of 88 days. Defendant was also ordered to pay $213 in fines and costs. Restitution is open for 90 days.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18

cortez colorado Fernanda Kay Root, 43, of Towaoc, pleaded guilty to one count of driving while ability impaired. This is defendant’s fourth DUI. She was sentenced to 150 days in jail with 2 days credit for time served, and to an additional 365 days in jail with suspended imposition. She was sentenced to 36 months of supervised private probation, and was ordered to pay $1,365.50 in fines and costs. Defendant must also perform 90 hours of useful public service/community service by March 18, 2013. She must attend victim impact panel and Level II education and 86 hours of therapy — Track D. She must also attend enhanced outpatient therapy. Inpatient treatment is allowed with day for day credit if defendant attends program at NCI. Defendant may begin inpatient treatment Aug. 1, 2012. She must submit to random tests for drug and alcohol use. Standard conditions of probation apply, including no alcohol or illegal drug use. Defendant must follow all conditions of probation. Defendant is to serve 150 days in jail with credit for time served of 2 days, for a total of 148 days to serve at this time; an additional 365 days are suspended imposition as a condition of completing probation successfully. She must report to jail on May 3, 2012.

cortez colorado Gina West, 28, of Cortez, pleaded guilty of one count of theft/receiving — $500-$1,000. She was sentenced to 12 months supervised state probation, and was ordered to pay $868.50 in fines and costs. A restitution hearing is set for June 1, 2012. Defendant must also complete 60 hours of useful public service/community service by March 18, 2013.

cortez colorado Cameron Stephen Cansler, 24, of Durango, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of marijuana — under 2 ounces. He received a deferred sentence of 6 months unsupervised probation, and was ordered to pay $205 in fines and costs. Defendant must complete 24 hours of useful public service/community service by Oct. 18, 2012. He must violate no laws — traffic or criminal, and must keep his address current with the court.

cortez colorado Nancy Nalani Glinka, 40, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of owning/possessing a dog not under control. She was ordered to pay $654.50 in fines and costs. A restitution hearing is scheduled for June 1, 2012. Court reserves ruling on restitution.
