Mary Frances Fran Drummond
Mary Frances ‘Fran’ Drummond was born on Oct. 24, 1932 in Greenfield, Iowa to Joseph R. and Sara Lucille (Woods) Hamilton. She passed away on April 4, 2012 at Vista Mesa Assisted Living Residence at the age of 79.
Fran married James H. Drummond on Sept. 7, 1952 in Greenfield. She was a member of the Indiana University Alumni in Bloomington, Ind. as well as the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Fran was also involved with PEO, The Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution. She taught for over 30 years in Urban, Iowa and enjoyed creating stain glass.
Surviving Fran are her children, Sara J. Drummond-Miller and husband Timothy of Mancos, and Douglas James and wife Sandra of Elkhorn, Neb.; her five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband, James Drummond; and her parents, Joseph and Sara Hamilton.
Cremation has taken place and graveside inurnment services will be held in Greenfield at a later date.
