To loosely quote Edmund Burke, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men and women to do nothing.” Apparently one lady forgot that when criticizing everyone that attended the Cortez Sanitation District’s disastrous meeting on April 30. If we do not speak out against undemocratic ways, we let our constituents down. I am proud to have stood with other concerned citizens that day.
