Jan. 2, Week 1: Over 55 locals and surrounding area hopefuls audition to be Cortez's first American Idol.

Jan. 9, Week 2: Fifteen contestants are chosen to proceed into the competition.

Jan. 16, Week 3: A total of 8 performers were eliminated.

Jan. 23, Week 4: Another 2 performers were eliminated, leaving the final 5, Marla Sitton, Megan Demars, Jill Carlson, Brianna Sanchez and Pepper Noyes, to battle it out.

Jan. 30, Week 5: The final 3 were chosen when Jill Carlson and Megan Demars were eliminated. Brianna Sanchez, Pepper Noyes and Marla Sitton will compete in the final scheduled on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. at Blondie's Pub and Grub.
