Fort Lewis College senior, Brent Eastin, joined the Region 9 team in December as a student intern. Raised in Mancos where his parents own Integrity Glass, Eastin is majoring in Business Administration with an Economics Minor. He has been primarily assisting in the loan program.
"I wanted to gain experience outside the classroom and also learn how to work in a more formal environment," he said. "I have already been able to learn about the procedures around loan documentation, filing and servicing. There is definitely a lot of detail required."
Eastin, who hopes to own his own business one day, says even if he leaves the area for a while after graduation, he definitely plans to come back.
"I love this area and have a personal interest in how our region is doing economically, said Eastin.
