Animal Control Officer Lari Ann Pope wraps up a duck wandering near Parque de Vida Wednesday. When the duck pond freezes, the wild ducks fly to new locations with water but there are a few that wander around not knowing what to do and freezing in the cold. Pope suspects they are domestic ducks that were kept as pets until they were too big and then dumped at the park. She relocates the ducks to people who take care of them.
