Pet of the Week

Pet of the Week

O’Malley is one cool cat. This beautiful young sunset-toned flame point — an unusual color combination of white with orange ears and tail — loves to play hide & seek and chase with other cats and kittens. A sweet one-year-old neutered male, he really excels at playing with other cats and kittens. He tends to play a little rough with small children, but not in a mean way. This boy has sky-blue eyes and silky medium length hair and prefers to be an indoor-only cat. A new forever home will make this jolly cat’s day. The shelter also has dogs deserving of homes, and other loving, affectionate cats and kittens of all colors. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays; they will be open this Friday. The adoption fee for pets includes spaying or neutering, vaccination and microchipping. The shelter needs donations of dog biscuits to keep their homeless dogs occupied, non-clumping cat litter, and cleaning supplies such as unscented bleach, dishwasher detergent and liquid dish soap. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910. To view more animals, visit www.petfinder.com or www.petango.com (enter 81321 zip code for each) or www.cityofcortez.com/government/animal_shelter.
