Correction and Update

In a previous issue of the Journal, it was stated that TJ’s Cafe in Cahone would be having a fall festival on Oct. 20. The actual name of the restaurant is JT’s Country Store and Cafe.
JT’s threw a fall fest fundraiser for the Dove Creek schools music department on Saturday, Oct. 20. A number of small businesses from Lewis-Arriola, Pleasant View and Dove Creek made contributions to help the festival. They had pumpkin carving contests, games and a costume contest for the kids. The pumpkins were provided by Jones Farm. There was live music and a chili cook-off contest. Close to 100 people attended and around $300 was raised for the music department.
JT’s Country Store is located at 14047A Hwy 491 in Cahone; they are open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for breakfast and lunch. They are closed Mondays. Call 562-4280 for more information.
