Rainie Salazar of La Junta, Colo. and Justin Samora of Cortez are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Joseph Raymond Samora, born Aug. 16, 2012 at 2:47 a.m. at San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa, Colo. Joseph weighed 7 pounds, 10.6 ounces and was 20 inches long at birth. Proud grandparents are Ed and Bernadette Salazar of La Junta, and Rick and Melissa Applin of Cortez. Also welcoming their nephew are aunt, Katelyn Samora and uncle, Wyatt Applin.
